Introduction:

MIRIK: Mirik is the youngest hill station in Siliguri in the West Bengal state of India .  Its located in the Siliguri district. Mirik hill resort at an altitude of 1767 metres above from sea with its own special charms. The place is just 49 km away from Darjeeling and 52 km. from Siliguri.  Mirik is surrounded by tea estates, orange orchards and cardamom plantations. There is a rich forest of thousands of Cryptomaria – Japanica trees clothe the slopes on the west. There is a beautiful natural lake in Mirik and the lake is 1.25 km. long,you can also enjoy a boat ride in the lake. floating fountain in the middle of the lake is a joy for ever and very often you may find the glory of Kanchenjunga reflected in the lake waters. Attraction in Mirik:

The Sumendu Lake:    Sumendu Lake is one of the major attraction of Mirik. The arch bridge across the lake is 80 ft. long. Boating and fishing are two of the most popular pastimes here.

Rameetay Dara:   This place provide a  unforgettable view of Sunrise and sunset. Reaching at this naturally beautiful place provide one an amazing view of plains and nearby Himalayan hills. 

Deosi Dara:   Deosi Dara  offering a panoramic view of the plains, the hills and the peaks.
Rai Dhap: Rai Dhap is a very famous picnic spot in Mirik. The source of drinking water for the whole of Mirik.

Debi Sthan: Debi Sthan is one of the revered Hindu temples of Mirik, its located on the western bank of the lake. .Mirik is surrounded by some of the best tea gardens of the region. Thurbo tea Estate, one of the best known, is only 2 km from Mirik. One can visit the factory to see tea being processed.

Road & Rail:   New Jalpiaguri Railway Station is the closest railway station to reach Mirik. This railway Station is just 60 km away from the hill resort.
