Mysore
 Introduction:

The city of place,Mysore is one of the most popular destination in South India. Mysore is the second largest city in the state of Karnataka in India. It is the headquarters of the Mysore district and located 146 km (91 mi) southwest of Bangalore, the capital of Karnataka. Mysore is also known as the City of Palaces. There is some interest places of in the city are Mysore Palace, Krishna Raja Sagara, Kukkarahali Lake, Jaganmohan Art Gallery, Brindavan Gardens, Lalitha Mahal, Datta Peetham, Chamundi Hills, Mysore Zoo, Folk Lore Museum and many more and some number of temples namely Lakshmiramana Swamy Temple, Trinesvaraswamy Temple, Prasanna Krishnaswamy Temple, Shweta Varahaswamy Temple, Chamundi Temple, Mahabaleshwara Temple and Prasanna Krishnaswamy Temple. Mysore is famous for the festivities that take place during the Dasara festival when the city receives a large number of tourists. the ideal time to visit the Mysore city is between the months of October and March.

Attraction in Mysore:

Mysore Palace : The Mysore palace is one of the biggest tourist attractions in Mysore Mysore Palace is built in Indo-Saracenic style with domes, turrets, arches and colonnades. It was the official residence of the former royal family of Mysore. The palace, illuminated on Sundays and Public Holidays, presents a spectacle of breathtaking beauty.

The Jaganmohan Palace: This Place is another one of the most beautiful building in Mysore. Jaganmohan Palace was built in 1861, by the king, Krishnaraja Wodeyar. This palace was used for daily durbar by the king of Mysore and also the special Dasara durbar during the dasara period. The three-storeyed palace with stained glass shutters and ventilators, in a lovely garden setting has now been converted to an art gallery. This museum displays paintings, sculptures and musical instruments.

Chamundi Hills: Chamundi Hill is one of the landmark tourist attractions of Mysore. There is other historic temples in the vicinity of Mysore are Srirangapatna, Talakkad and Somnathpur. Goddess Chamundi was the patron deity of the royal family of Mysore. Chamundeshwari and a tall monolith of Nandi, Lord Shiva's pet.

Mysore Zoo: Mysore Zoo is established in 1892. This Zoo is one of the oldest and most popular zoos in Southern India. the zoo. The official name of the zoo is Shri Chamarajendra Zoological Gardens, the zoo displays a large collections of animals, including exotic species, are housed in lush green surroundings.
