Introduction:

Dhirdham Temple: Dhirdham Temple is the most attracting Hindu temple in Darjeeling. This Temple is built in 1939 and this is located near Darjeeling railway station and is modeled on the famous Pashupatinath Temple in Kathmandu.
Senchal Lake : Senchal Lake is a scenic place close to the Tiger Hill. It is one of the most famous picnic spot in Darjeeling. It supplies drinking water to the town of Darjeeling. Senchal Lake is 3 kms away from Ghoom.
Train trip in Darjeeling : One of the most enjoyable of India's toy trains is the one linking the town of New Jalpaiguri in the plains to the lovely hill station of Darjeeling. The 88 Km long Train trip up the mountains in roughly 8 hours, offer stunning and breathtaking view of the Himalayas. The steam locomotive and carriages which date a long way back can take anything between 8 to 10 hours depending upon whether the journey is uphill or downhill and on other variables like `rocks on the track'.
Tea Gardens in Darjeeling: Darjeeling offer a unique experience to visit a nearby Tea Garden to watch the actual process of the manufacturing of Darjeeling Tea. There are about 70 tea gardens in this hill region and the most accessible one is the Happy Valley Tea Estate, which is about 3 kms from the town or within a walking distance of about 40 minutes.
