Introduction:
Sirmour was situated about 16km. north-west of Paonta Sahib in Sirmaur district of Himachal Pradesh. The district of Sirmaur is in the south eastern corner of the state. Sirmur was an independent kingdom in India. Its established in 1616. Its became a part of Greater Nepal, before becoming a princely state in British India. The state was also known as Nahan, after its main city, Nahan. Sirmur is famous for its places of pilgrimages and for the tradition that surround them. Nahan is a historic town in Sirmur , located on a ridge of the Chivalry Hills. It has beautiful green forests and valleys especially in Choordhar peak. Best time to visit Sirmaur is mid-May to mid-October.

Junga: Junga is enclose on all side by green hills with snow capped mountains and has a forest cover of kail, deodar, pine, cheel, ban and other trees.
Trilokpur Temple : Trilokpur Temple is built in 1573 by Raja Dip Prakash. This temple situated at a distance of 23 kms. from Nahan and 6 km. away from Kala Amb. Trilokpur is a place of great religious importance. Trilokpur Temple one of the famous Hindu Temples in Himachal Pradesh The Goddess of the Trilokpur Temple resembles stone lingam like Lord Shiva. The temple of the goddess 'Mahamaya Bala Sundri' is quite famous and attracts lakh of pilgrims from all over Northern India. The common god of Goddess Bala Sundari similar the stone lingam of Lord Shiva. A fair is held twice an year during the Navratras in April and October. A large number of Goddess visit this temple and pay their respects to the goddess.
Giri Nagar : Giri Nagar is located at a distance of 7 kms. from Dhaula Kuan, this town has a power house of 60 MW capacity constructed after diverting the Giri river through a 6 kms. tunnel.
Shivalik Fossil Park Suketi : Shivalik Fossil Park suketi is situated in Sirmaur district. It is 21 kms. away from Nahan, located on the left bank of the Markanda river. The park is the first of its kind in Asia to be developed at the actual site where fossils were discovered. displays life size fiberglass models of pre-historic animals whose fossils, skeletons were unearthed here. Nahan Town : The beautiful town Nahan was established by Raja Karna Prakash in 1621, as his capital city. It is crowned by the 3,647 metres high Choordhar peak. Nahan's close proximity to plains makes it an all weather holiday resort. Nahan is also famous for its Bawan Dwadashi Festival hed every year in month of September. There has three popular waking circuits The Villa round, Hospital round and Military round.
